The announcement was made at the WRTC 2026 UK Awards Ceremony, held during the Istra Contest Conference 2026.

WRTC 2030 will take place in Croatia, in the northeastern region of Slavonia.

We congratulate our British colleagues on the successful organization of WRTC 2026 and on the important decisions that have helped strengthen the integrity of our sport. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the WRTC Sanctioning Committee for the trust they have placed in us.

We look forward to welcoming the international amateur radio community to Croatia and to delivering an outstanding WRTC 2030.

Until then, best 73!

24hcontinuous competition

Amateur radio is a unique passion that brings together people of all ages. The radio spectrum provides a global platform for technical innovation, experimentation, and human communication, giving nearly four million amateur radio operators worldwide the opportunity to experience telecommunications as both a way of life and a source of technological innovation. In doing so, amateur radio helps bring our world closer together through better, more meaningful communication—or, quite simply, by connecting people.

The World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) brings together many of the world’s leading amateur radio contest operators. Competitors from countries across all continents qualify through regional selection processes and come together in the spirit of international competition. All teams compete under comparable conditions, creating a level playing field in which operating skill, strategy, teamwork, and endurance determine the world champions.

Each team consists of two operators competing continuously for 24 hours, making WRTC one of the most demanding and prestigious competitions in amateur radio.
